FIT & SIZING

Your anchor is your primary safety system. Configure it based on your vessel displacement and your mission profile.

SAFETY MARGIN STANDARD

The Complete System.

Original engineering geometry, unchanged for 30 years.

The Connector

We recommend a high-load “Flip Swivel” to ensure the anchor rights itself on retrieval. Avoid standard D-Shackles that can side-load.

The Chain

Knox anchors are designed to work with Grade 40 or 70 chain. Ensure your windlass gypsy is matched to your chain calibration.

The Snubber

Essential for all anchoring. A nylon snubber absorbs shock loads, protecting both the anchor’s hold and your deck hardware.

The Physical Fit.

Anchors are useless if they don’t stow. Check these 4 dimensions.

Fluke Clearance

Distance from roller axle to stem must exceed shank length.

Roll Bar Arc

Ensure hoop does not foul the pulpit or furler drum.

Roller Width

Channel must accommodate shank width + 10mm tolerance.

Locker Depth

For internal stowage, check max depth of the locker lid.

Don't guess. Verify.

Upload a photo of your bow roller. Our engineers will visually check compatibility.

Built by engineers, not marketers.

Knox anchors are the result of 30 years of conservative, engineering-led development in Scotland. No trends. Just physics.
